company developing cloud-based digital solutions that improve access to
healthcare across Africa. Through our flagship platform, besaCare, we enable

- Hailing from a family of doctors, Healthcare has always been important for me. Through my professional and personal life, I have had the opportunity to travel across developing markets and witness first-hand the inefficiencies and problems in accessing and obtaining quality healthcare. Launching a platform to address the inefficiencies has been a lifelong dream.
- Prior to PHV, I worked at an emerging markets focused Investment Bank – Arqaam Capital – for 9 years, starting with Corporate Finance (M&A, capital raise) and moving to Group Strategy. Healthcare and Technology were key sectors of focus throughout.
- Started my career at Deloitte in New York in 2006.
- B.Sc. in Electrical & Computer Engineering, and Computational Finance from Carnegie Mellon University (USA); MBA from INSEAD (France).
- Deep expertise in modern software engineering including Web & Mobile Apps Development, Middleware architecture, and API integrations.
- 15 years of experience building software solutions and leading technical teams for a wide range of companies (ThoughtWorks, Andela, Microsoft) across various sectors (Investment Banking, FinTech, HealthTech, Compliance & Data Protection) and regions.
- M.Sc. Software Engineering from the University of Liverpool (UK) & M.A. Innovation & Change Management from York Business School (UK).
- A multi-cultural upbringing and entrepreneurial family environment led to early exposure to emerging and frontier markets across Africa and the Middle East.
- Co-founding various businesses across healthcare, finance and technology in emerging and developed markets gave me extensive exposure to the operational challenges start-ups face, as well as handling quick growth and dealing with cyclical challenges.
- Track record in growing successful businesses and implementing impactful projects in West Africa and the Middle East.
- Started my career at TNO in the Netherlands.
